Julie Welcomes Llanishen Rotary Club to the Houses of Parliament
Julie Morgan, MP for Cardiff North, was delighted to welcome the Rotary Club from Llanishen in Cardiff to the Houses of Parliament this week.
After visiting the House of Lords and the House of Commons on an official tour, the group of 50 then met with Julie in a committee room in the Palace of Westminster for a Q & A session.
Julie Morgan MP said:
“I was very pleased that members of the Llanishen Rotary Club and their families were able to visit Westminster and to be able to discuss with them my work in Parliament and to answer questions. I enjoyed the lively discussion.
“I know that the Llanishen Rotary Club does such good work locally, particularly in schools with its essay and public speaking competitions, as well as internationally, particularly in South Africa. I was pleased to be presented with a pennant from the current President Mike Davies and I applaud the club’s motto of ‘Service above Self’.
“It’s great to see people from Cardiff when I am in Westminster and I hope that when people come, they can see just how accessible Parliament is.”
