Campaigning with members of Funky Dragon at Westminster.
In June 2008, I presented a Private Members’ Bill to the House of Commons. This called for a reduction in the voting age to 16. This is now Labour Party policy and I’m campaigning for its inclusion in our next manifesto.
The debate can be read here.

THE STRUGGLE FOR DEMOCRACY IN BURMA
Presenting a cheque for money raised at the Spotlight on Burma event to Save the Children.
I have been involved with the APPG for Democracy in Burma for awhile now and in 2008, organised an event in the Wales Millennium Centre called Spotlight on Burma. The audience of close to 200 heard speakers from the Burma Campaign, Amnesty International Wales and Save the Children about both the human rights situation in Burma and the humanitarian crisis caused by Cyclone Nargis.
