Julie Welcomes Second Reading of Sunbeds Bill in House of Lords

Julie Morgan MP's Private Member's Bill on sunbeds got over another hurdle in the race to become law before the general election. It was introduced in the House of Lords by Baroness Finlay of Llandaff and received support from all parties for its Second Reading.

Julie Calls for Stay of Execution for Llanishen Reservoir

Julie Morgan, MP for Cardiff North, will use today’s Welsh Affairs debate in the House of Commons to highlight the threat to Llanishen Reservoir and in particular the alarm caused by the imminent draining down of all the water.

Julie Gives Support to Civil Servants at Companies House

Julie Morgan, MP for Cardiff North, after visiting Companies House in Gabalfa, has praised the staff and management at Companies House for their achievements in modernising the system for keeping records of all the companies in the UK. She also met the PCS union representatives and discussed the ongoing dispute over the Civil Service Compensation Scheme

3rd February 2010:

Julie Welcomes Flood Prevention for Whitchurch Brook

Julie Morgan, MP for Cardiff North, today welcomed the award of £451,000 for a flood defence project for Whitchurch Brook. Jane Davidson AM, the Minister for Environment, Sustainability and Housing, today announced £6.1 million in European funding for 8 Flood and Coastal Defence projects in total.

Dennis O’Neill Shows His Support for Julie Morgan MP

Julie Morgan, MP for Cardiff North, is delighted that the world-renowned opera singer Dennis O’Neill has agreed to perform in support of her. The event will be held on Friday the 19th of March at the Dutch Barn at Whitchurch High School on the Lower School site starting at 7.30PM.

2nd December 2009:

Julie Welcomes Rwanda’s Inclusion in the Commonwealth

Julie Morgan, MP for Cardiff North, has welcomed Rwanda’s inclusion as the 54th member of the Commonwealth. The decision was made at the Commonwealth summit in Trinidad and Tobago at the weekend. It is only the second country not previously part of the British Empire to become part of the Commonwealth.

Julie Calls for Better Access for the Disabled

Julie Morgan, MP for Cardiff North, has used this year’s CSV Make a Difference Day to highlight just how difficult it can be for people with disabilities to do everyday things -- in this case, to visit a shopping area. She visited Whitchurch Village with the Cardiff Access Group.
