2009-10: SUNBEDS (REGULATION) ACT

My Private Member’s Bill to regulate the use of sunbeds by under-18s was passed into law at the end of the last Parliament.

CARDIFF NORTH OFFICE

From 1997-2010, I ran a fully staffed full-time office in Cardiff North. During this time, we dealt with thousands of issues and problems brought to us by constituents. Our door was always open to anyone needing help.

I was the Labour MP for Cardiff North from 1997-2010.

During these 13 years, I made many speeches, asked many questions and presented three Private Member’s Bills on the floor of the House of Commons. I also signed many Early Day Motions and was a member of several Select Committees and All-Party Parliamentary Groups.
