I hope that you will find this website useful in finding out about my work in Cardiff and in Westminster. You can contact me by phone or email or you can drop by my office or come to a surgery – all the details can be found on this website.

THURSDAY, 2 JULY
I met with Ed Miliband Secretary of State for the Environment.
It was was at an event to promote Operation Noah - a campaign on climate change. Like most MPs, I recognise how important climate change is and also how much we have to do to reduce its impact.

MPs’ Expenses
I am aware that many of my constituents are concerned about the expense claims made by Members of Parliament. I understand that people want more openness from their MPs and with this in mind I have created a page addressing this issue here.
You can find the published details of my expenses claims on the Parliament website here (links to external site)

SATURDAY, 4 JULY
I was delighted to open the George Thomas Hospice Fun Day along with TV presenters, Lucy and Rhodri Owen and their lovely son Gabriel.
The weather just about held and the day was magnificent, well done to all involved!
FRIDAY, 26 JUNE
I was invited to visit the Republic of Ireland on a day trip by the charity ASH to see the effects of a ban on display of tobacco products which will begin there on 1 July. The UK government has proposed a similar measure and I wanted to see the implications for small businesses in the Republic. The meeting was extremely interesting and there is a great deal of information to mull over. The picture is of me and ASH officers and officials.
